You’ll be part of  IeS Tech team responsible for specific domain in payment – Clearing and Settlement.

As Application Engineer you’ll be part of agile team responsible for development and maintenance of systems for clearing and settlement payments.  These complex systems enable numerous banks to process payments for their clients. So, you will not lack challenges, exploration of new possibilities and new knowledge adoption.

You will be a member of one of our agile teams working on state of the art clearing and settlement systems from top vendors in field. In a small team, every single member counts a lot, and now we eagerly seek a new one, to help us solve new challenges and make existing apps even better.

Your professional acumen and experience form most of your qualifications, but it’s your personality that makes the difference to succeed in this role. Especially the little twists we all have that makes our personalities instead of just a person.

Required qualifications:

• Understanding general IT domains (networking, OSI layers, virtualization),
• Knowledge of web and application servers (e.g. Tomcat),
• Knowledge of SQL,
• Basic understanding of scripting (e.g. Bash, Powershell) or programming language (C#, Java,)
• Good command of written and spoken English and Croatian

Good-to-have qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in integrating third party applications into internal information systems,
• Hands-on experience with debugging or troubleshooting complex technical issues,
• Practical knowledge of IT systems development methods, techniques, and processes,
• Good knowledge of development based on relational databases (SQL, Query Performance and Debugging, DB Modelling),
• Agile software development methodology (ideally SAFe),
• Knowledge of card business technology and processes, especially clearing and settlement is a big plus

On a personal side, you are hands-on and able to adapt to a fast-changing environment. You can stand your ground when needed and able to deliver high quality under tight deadlines. You should have strong analytical, structured and problem-solving skills and be a strong communicator.
